About Us

The incumbent faculty and staff of the Department constantly strive to uphold the rich legacy bequeathed to us and to vindicate the promised precept of this institution, “My Work is For a King”. We teach medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy and allied health sciences, students. We also train students for the MD Pharmacology degree.

The department is well equipped with scientific and education tools for experimental, clinical research and medical education and also contributes to other areas in the form of clinical trials, pharmacovigilance committee, ethics committee, animal ethics committee, a research group, pharmacy committee and department of medical education. We have conducted a number of DCGI approved clinical trials as well as animal studies. We are regularly contributing adverse drug reaction reports to the national program as ADR monitoring center.

The department started and continuing with innovative teaching-learning methods like Case-Based Learning, OSPE (objectively structure Practical Examination), thematic poster sessions and student lead discussion, debates & seminars. The department publishes a number of papers every year. All faculty members are well trained and experts in teaching learning activities

This well-trained faculty contributed immensely to the growth of the department. The department contributes significantly to the CMCL-FAIMER Regional Institute and MCI Nodal Centre for Faculty Development, both at CMC. Dr. Dinesh is also Member of Reconciliation Board, Medical Council of India.
